this is the peice i've been working on for what seems like forever. i used oil pastel because i like how they can blend into each other.

i don't usually draw fantasy stuff (because i lack the imagination to make it seem real) but this is research for my brothers tattoo (he said he would like a phoenix design tattoo).

the phoenix is not on fire in this picture but instead getting ready to ignite (the orange tinge on the bottom face feathers).

well that's that, i'm just really happy to have completed it :laughing:

Wow, the texture is really nice! I can never get feathers to look right...

Anyways the eye is a bit flat, but the intesity of it's gaze is still there XD

Nice job on the bird. I think the eye could be better as mentioned earlier, but it is still good. I have trouble with my feathers so I blend them, but yours looks really well done.
